Sánchez

Francesc Sánchez Sánchez has as degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He also has a master’s in economics and Business Management from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and completed the Executive Development Programme in Ports at the IESE Business School.

Has held the following roles:

• CEO of Port Authority of Tarragona from May 2007 to October 2015.
• Treasurer and Board Member of ChemMed Tarragona (Mediterranean Chemical Cluster) from its creation in 2014 to October 2015.
• Director of Strategy, Innovation and Development at the Port Authority of Valencia between 2004 and 2007.
• Board Member of Tarragona Stevedoring Corporation ESTARRACO from 2007 to 2008.
• President of INFOPORT Valencia S.A from 1998 and 2007.
• Board Member of Valencia Stevedoring Corporation SEVASA between 2002 and 2007.
• Deputy Director of Management and Operations at Port Authority of Valencia from 2002 to 2004
• General Manager of the European Economic Interest Grouping EUROMAR from 1998 to 1999.
• Director of Operations at Port Authority of Valencia from 2001 to 2002.
• Director of the ICT Department at Port Authority of Valencia from 1983 to 2001.

He combines his professional career with the following regular collaborations:

• IPEC (Valenciaport Foundation) from its creation, both in the Masters Programme, and in the creation and running of a variety of different seminars and training courses.
• Spanish Ports Authority in the Latin-american Ports Seminar.
