Iván
González

He holds a degree in Law and a master’s in Marketing Management and began his career in the tourist industry in 2003, with Meliá Hoteles. In 2007 he joined the Sociedad Estatal de Gestión de la Innovación y de las Tecnologías Turística (SEGITTUR), an organisation attached to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism that is responsible for promoting innovation in the Spanish tourist industry in the public and private sectors, as Head of Marketing.

Iván is in charge of the network of municipal Tourist Information Centres, which has undergone a major architectural, technological and organisational overhaul during the last few years. Matters relating to accessible tourism also fall within his area of responsibility.
