Since 2006, the Accessible Portugal brand has been working to promote accessible tourism for all in Portugal. Its current corporate structure is considered to be the most appropriate for its aims. This non-profit association raises the standards of tourism supply and demand, across all segments of the market taking into consideration the specific characteristics of each one.

Born in Portugal, Sara Duarte, is a graduate in Hotel Management from the School of Catering and Tourism in Estoril, Portugal.

Her professional career has developed over the years in different businesses with different roles primarily in the hotel sector. Then in 2012, she began to work in inclusive tourism projects as a facilitator at events and seminars and went on to become a consultant and instructor in accessible and inclusive tourism.
