REGISTRATION OPEN FOR THE BIG EVENT IN ACCESSIBLE CRUISE TOURISM

On 2-3 December, Valencia will host the 1st TUR4all International Congress on Accessible Cruise Destinations spearheaded by PREDIF

Registration is now open for the 1st TUR4all International Congress on Accessible Cruise Destinations. Starting today, you can register on the official congress web page at congreso2019.tur4all.com and come to Valencia on 2-3 December. The Santos Las Arenas Hotel will play host to this pioneering event which will tackle accessibility issues in cruise tourism.

This will be the first time that a congress is to be held in Spain that focuses exclusively on accessible cruise tourism. PREDIF – the Spanish Representative Platform for People with a Physical or Organic Disability – has become a pioneer by organising an event of this magnitude, namely the 1st TUR4all International Congress on Accessible Cruise Destinations and as of today, 12 September 2019, registration is open.

By entering the web page designed for the organisation of this accessibility event, congreso2019.tur4all.com, anyone wanting to head to Valencia on 2-3 December should complete the registration form. Delegates attending will be given a welcome kit and will have the opportunity to go on excursions to the renowned City of Arts and Sciences during the days leading up to the congress.

Among the speakers to have confirmed so far are Francisco J. Sardón, President of PREDIF, Sylvia Longmire, business owner and advocate of the rights of people with disabilities, Marco Pizzio, Head of the Department of Social and Accessible Tourism at the AISM, John Sage, founder and President of Accessible Travel Solutions, Mirjam Versteegh, owner of Disabled Accessible Travel and Virginia López Valiente, Managing Director and Owner of Cruises News Media Group. Together they will try to paint delegates a true picture of the current situation of accessible cruise tourism.

Together with the Region of Valencia Tourist Board, AISMItalian Multiple Sclerosis Association -, Accessible Portugal and with the support of Valencia City Hall, ENAT - European Network for Accessible Tourism - Cruises News Media Group and Valenciaport, PREDIF has organised this event with the aim of promoting the normalisation of cruise tourism for people with disabilities, reduced mobility and with accessibility needs.

This congress is, in short, the perfect opportunity to work towards an accessible tourism, advocating collaboration and the raising of awareness among all stakeholders involved in the cruise tourism sector.
